Neil Salsbury BEd, FCSI, RRC, CFP®
When Neil was 12 years old, he began buying stocks with his older brother John. Very quickly, his investment picks were outperforming his brother's. From there, Neil continued his interest in the stock market.
After moving from rural Alberta to Edmonton, he graduated from the University of Alberta and promptly began his investment career. He started his vocational journey with one of the largest practices in Canada. Starting as an assistant and moving up to associate, Neil began his own practice after 5 years.
Now with over 20 years in the industry, Neil continues to grow his practice and his professional expertise. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, which is the highest honour in Canadian financial services. He also holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Registered Retirement Consultant designations. Beyond working with clients, Neil is also a Division Manager and mentors other IG Consultants.
When not in the office, Neil keeps busy with various charitable endeavors including The Salsbury Trust. He is a regular volunteer and sits on several committees including the University of Alberta Alumni Council. He is an avid traveler and has been to nearly 60 countries. When at home, he loves to entertain and spend time at the dog park with his two rescue pups.
Curtis Miske BCom
Curtis was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Prior to 2018, Curtis captained the Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League and finished his brief professional hockey career in Orlando, Florida under the Toronto Marlies Organization. Following professional hockey, Curtis received the WHL Scholarship program to obtain his Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of Alberta.
Curtis started his IG Wealth Management career in September 2020 while studying at the U of A. He also completed his IIROC Securities licensing requirements and Life License Qualification Program in February 2022.
Outside of his professional career, you can find him on the golf course or at the Pigeon Lake cabin soaking up the sun.
Saif Al Saffar B.Eng
Saif brings a unique and analytical perspective to wealth management, shaped by his background as a Petroleum Engineer working with international firms. His transition into finance was driven by a genuine passion for investment management and a strong desire to help individuals and families navigate their financial futures with confidence.
Saif seamlessly combines the technical discipline and problem‑solving mindset of engineering with a personalized, relationship‑focused approach to wealth management. He is committed to creating tailored strategies that align with each client’s goals, values, and long‑term vision.
Outside of work, Saif enjoys spending quality time with friends, discovering new restaurants, traveling, and exploring different cultures around the world.
Taylor Halbauer BSc (Finance), BSc (Management)
Taylor’s passion for investing began at the age of 10, inspired by her grandfather’s advice to invest her Christmas money. With his encouragement, she chose to purchase sheep, an experience that resulted in positive returns and sparked her curiosity to further explore investment opportunities.
Following her early interest in finance, Taylor dedicated thirteen years to an accomplished water polo career. She competed with the Canadian National Team, earned a university scholarship to a Division 1 institution in the United States, and played professionally in Spain. Alongside her athletic pursuits, Taylor completed both a Finance degree and a Management degree, preparing her for the next stage of her professional life.
In September 2024, Taylor began her career with IG Wealth Management. She is actively working toward fulfilling her IIROC Securities licensing requirements and aspires to take on the role of associate in the near future.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Taylor enjoys coaching youth water polo, travelling, and spending time with her fiancé, Zac, and their dog, Maui.
